Band Members:

Pui San – Female Lead Singer

Pui San :

Hi everyone! Welcome and thanks for checking out our band.

Its been great being a part of Beevers because its truly fulfilling to see enjoyment in the audience’s faces when we play.

Prior to Beevers, I performed at various events, from weddings to corporate functions that included consumer brands like Wrigley’s and L’Oreal. It all started during my college days, after skipping a couple of classes for singing auditions (I hope my lecturers are not reading this..hehe). Actually, I recommend you to do this; YOLO right?

Wilson – Guitarist/Male Lead Singer

Wilson:

Wazzzzup! Cliff and I lived under the same roof for a period of time back in US while we attended the same university, and we used to jam and recorded number of songs together. Upon returning home to Malaysia from oversea. He recruited me to join one of his bands he was managing. Since then, I have been playing for Beevers. Like most musicians, I truly enjoy being part of this and being able to entertain everyone with what I feel in music.

In the case for anyone who plays the guitars, my inspiration from young comes from guitar heroes like Eric Clapton, Tommy Emmanuel, John Mayer, and Richie Sambora. They have kept me playing the guitar until today.

Rebecca – Drummer/Percussionist

Rebecca:

Hi friends! When I picked up the drums at 15 years old, it was merely a hobby. I didn’t have any thoughts about making a career out of it. The opposite came true; those who know me know that I currently teach at the Bentley Music Academy.

My music inspiration is quite different from the rest of my band mates. I love Dream Theater. When I was given the opportunity to perform for Pixies the Musical and Songs for a New World, I took it! It was such an honour, particularly Songs for a New World as it is a Jason Robert Brown production directed by Christopher Ling (a BOH Cameronian Arts award winner) and featured vocal quartet Caipifutra (an Anugerah Industri Muzik nominee).

Jian Loh – Bassist/Backing Vocals

Jian Loh:

Yo! I’m the new kid of Beevers. Although I only became a part of the band in June 2013, my band mates have already taken me in like an old family member. Like Wilson, I had also spent a long stint studying and working in the Unites States. There, I was playing guitar for my former band, dé Vide.

Some of my major music influences include Power Station, Mayday, Wubai and Zhang Zhen Yue. Apart from music, I also love photography and videography. So don’t be surprised if you see me simultaneously playing bass and taking photos on stage.

Beevers:

Thank you for stopping by and look forward to working with you in the near future.
